Responsibilities
- collaborate with development, production, trading, and back-office operations
- design, deploy, support, and troubleshoot Linux server and desktop infrastructure
- document IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures
- provide general user support and troubleshooting assistance
- participate in after-hours work and an on-call rotation
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- a bachelor's degree in a technical field
- excellent troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities
- excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- extensive experience designing, deploying, and supporting Linux servers and desktops
- comprehensive understanding of systems and network protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS) and UNIX/Linux system internals (kernel, drivers, file systems, virtual memory)
- experience implementing, operating, and supporting Slurm, LLM deployments, and PostgreSQL
- knowledge of scripting to automate tasks
- experience deploying, supporting, integrating, debugging, and patching open-source and proprietary infrastructure services (DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS, NFS, Kerberos, OpenSSL) (considered a plus)
